Ruger LCP Brown Leather Series Holster

First of all, I use this same model for the LCP and the P3AT. Sneaky Pete (SP) may have a different recommendation for the P3AT. If so, well, they are the experts. If you already have a SP holster, then you already know how good it is. But if you're reading this because you're not sure it is right for you, let me say it is probably the best CCW solution if you don't want to do the hide-with-clothing dance required by IWB and OWB holsters. My holster doesn't draw much attention- it could be confused for a phone case. Or you might like the idea people can "guess" you have something but they can't be sure, and you're not breaking any no-open-carry law. The bigger the gun, the bigger the holster, and the less it will look like a phone case. Some models have eye-catching graphics. For my desire not to be noticed, the plain brown design is perfect. You have either belt-loop or clip-on mounting. I think the belt-loop is more secure. You can't '"scrape the holster off" your belt with a chair back while sitting down. But the clip would be easier for taking the holster off if you're going somewhere you can't take the gun into, like the post-office. Or slip in on your belt before exiting the car, etc. Your call: convenience vs. security. This is my second purchase of this model holster. I felt like the newer one's cutout left too little room to reach the grip for a controlled draw. But that was easily remedied by putting a foam spacer at the bottom of the holster to raise the gun up and expose the grip more. I imagine different holsters will vary, so just something to consider if you want more clearance to reach the grip. All in all, a very well made, effective way to CCW a pistol.
